Applying to transfer can be complex: which campus should I transfer to? How do I write a personal statement? What if I am not admitted, what is the appeal process?

Feedback on your Transfer Application Essay

Greetings!

As a first-generation college student who spent many hours preparing my transfer application back in the day, I am happy to pay it forward.

I attended Cerritos Community College from 2003-2005, so during fall 2004, I was busy learning about my transfer options, considering which institutions I wanted to apply to, working to save money to pay for college application fees, and dutifully preparing my transfer application and writing my essays.

If you are a former student or current student of mine, I'd be happy to provide you personalized feedback on your transfer application essays.

Please feel free to send me an email at josue.franco@gcccd.edu that includes:

  • a) the essay(s) question(s);
  • b) your draft response(s); and
  • c) a deadline on when you need me to respond

I will reply back promptly (within 72 hours or less) with my feedback. Thanks for having me be apart of your transfer journey.

Sincerely,

Josh Franco, Ph.D.
