Education Plans for Declared POSC Majors

What is an Education Plan?

An Education Plan is a document that outlines what courses you should take each term at the College to help you achieve your educational goal. There are typically three goals for declared POSC majors:

  1. earn the AA-T and enter the workforce;
  2. earn the AA-T and transfer to a California State University (CSU) campus; or
  3. earn the AA-T and transfer to a University of California (UC) campus.

During your first semester, you are strongly encourage to see a Counselor to develop a comprehensive Education Plan. Call 619-660-4429 to schedule an appointment and visit the Student Education Plan web page for more information.

Ed Planning with Self-Service

GCCCD Colleague Self-Service is the website that you use to search for classes and register for courses. The Student Planning feature allows you to update your Ed Plan.

 You are strongly encouraged to meet with Counseling to develop your personalized, comprehensive education plan.
